I *believe*[1] at this stage the developers are as keen to test the
installer as much as the rest of Subversion.

Any reason why you'd prefer a zipped version? (Just curious; I was quite
happy with using zips for the previous 1.5 installs I did).

FWIW the installer is really nice - a choice of SVNServe or Apache (or
both), a choice of ports (for both) (useful if you're already running a
web-server and don't want to use it for SVN), and ViewVC is included,
too.
