XML data was not well-formed

Hello,

after we put some files under version control
we get a strange error while updating one the working copy:

prompt>svn update file.cat

subversion/libsvn_ra_neon/util.c:1016: (apr_err=130003)
svn: XML data was not well-formed

The file is a Rational Rose Model file. We have diff'ed it with the
original one with no differences.
"svn cat file.cat" outputs the right content (URL and file)

The error seems to be related to this file, other files are replaced in
the right way.

We're using httpd 2.2.8 and svn from 1.5.x branch
