"Base checksum mismatch" for JSP files

Hello,

I have a Subversion server running Apache 2.2.6 and Subversion 1.4.5 on
Solaris 10. Clients are on Windows running Subclipse and TortoiseSVN. I'm
waiting to hear on the exact versions of Subclipse and TortoiseSVN being
used, but I'm guessing TortoiseSVN is at least 1.4.5.

We appear to be having a problem similar to the one described at
http://www.svnforum.org/2017/viewtopic.php?p=10808&sid=2e1a97a895ad28ee728ce99614b07c27
.

There are some developers who fail to commit JSP files to the server. They
get an error similar to the following.

Could not read status line: An existing connection was forcibly closed by
the remote host.

When I look through Apache's error log I see errors similar to the
following.

Base checksum mismatch on '/projectA/trunk/path/to/file.jsp':\n expected:
efbcdf615ca1202cadc0c9de9c4a62a0\n actual:
c42d0c14ec74d958f4c3e3b133b4b7c0\n [500, #200014]

I'm told this only happens for a few developers and only for JSP files. I
don't see anything in Apache that would be specific to JSP files, and we
don't have any JSP file specific hooks either.

Does anyone know what this problem could be?

Thanks,
Justin
