I uninstalled the previous install of apache2.2.8. Rebooted WindowsXP.
I performed a fresh installation of apache2.2.8 as a service and re-downloaded http://subversion.tigris.org/files/documents/15/41077/svn-win32-1.4.6.zip again.
copied "ALL" .so and .dll files from the zip file to the /apache2_root/modules with the approp modifications to the /apache2_root/conf/httpd.conf specified in the previous posting.
I don't know if it was a corrupted .so file or .dll file that was causing the error message of my previous posting for this topic. But one thing to note with apache2.2.8 running on a WindowsXP system, even if you were to shutdown the service and uninstall apache, i notice that httpd.exe is still running as a process. I don't know if this could have been the cause of the corrupted .so and/or .dll files when I copied these files into the /apache2_root/modules dir while the service is still running.
But it works now and I'll let it be.
Great thanks to Brad Bruce for helping out!
