Interesting. Let's talk briefly about what's different between our
systems ...

My repo URL is https://someserver/repositories/companyip
My https server is using self-signed cert, so the first checkout
requires me to (p)ermanently accept.
The server is using LDAP to authenticate my username & password against
Open Directory.

That's all I can think of.
