That's exactly the problem and a mistake I've made a few times.

Me neither, but we had lots of problems with users who update their working copy and didn't see the sample had been updated and started complaining it didn't work anymore. Then it was decided to check in the original file, so everyone was always up to date.

Never mind then, I was hoping a simple solution existed.
