RE: managing code in disparate directories

I think 'svn import' can do that. If you use TortoiseSVN, you can drag and drop into the repo-browser directly.

Try 'svn help import'.

Subject: managing code in disparate directories

Hi,

Subversion is a wonderful product and has made my life much easier. However, I do not know how to import an associative file into my project when it is in a different location on the file system.

For example I currently have the following directory checked into subversion:
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\project1code\

But I'd also like to add just one file from this location to the above project:
c:\arcgisserver\mapfiles\map1.mxd

Can anyone point me to the right place in the documentation where I could find this information?

Many thanks,
Chris
