FW: Spaces at the ends of folder names prevent checkouts

I sent this originally to the developer's list, but it never showed up. No idea why. Anyway...

If I rename a folder in SVN so that it has a space at the end, it stops being possible to check out a working copy of the parent. The checkout fails with

"svn: Directory 'working_copy_name\Name With Trailing Space \.svn' containing working copy admin area is missing"

Obviously no-one would do this deliberately, but I've just had to support a user who was baffled after doing it accidentally when renaming a folder in the Tortoise repo-browser. I was baffled too for a while!

Regards,
