svnadmin hotcopy should copy links, not follow them..

Hello,
I recently found a small, but annoying problem with svnadmin hotcopy:

We manage a large number of repositories( more than 200 Repos size range
from 1MB to 13GB)
For our hookscripts we put links into the hooks-directory, because it is
the easiest way to maintain
the integrity of this hookscripts.
Our problem is that each svnadmin hotcopy call will follow the links,
replacing the convinient links with
native files.
Is there an option for not following links, but copying them?
Or even better: hotcopy should maintain the most equal state of the
repository .. resolving links to files is
not as conservative, as it could be, is it?

Greetings,
Lutz
