I'm not sure exactly what you mean in the rest of your post, but I think
the history is always there. I *think* you can use the @ syntax to get at
it (does someone know the name for this feature?):

svn log uri/branches/B@REV_BEFORE_DEL -r REV_BEFORE_DEL-N
