Depending upon the tool, possibly. However, hiding the directory is
inviting users to be unaware the directory exists, causing them
to unexpectedly copy the directory to places they shouldn't.
I.E. I've had users use windows explorer and copy some directories
from one working copy to another for another repo. Then they will
get strange errors when they try and add the dirs to the new repo.
