Configure --with-neon

Configure complains that there is "no suitable neon.." installed..

I HAD installed 0.25.x from source and it has placed the files

libneon.a
libneon.la
pkgconfig

..in the /usr/local/lib directory

I added the switch --with-neon=/usr/local/lib

..no joy...

Please.. someone enlighten the clueless..

what did I do wrong.. (or not do at all..)
