Acl question

From: Bradley, Scott <bradleys_at_maroochy.qld.gov.au>

I have an open source project, in the acl I would like to allow
anonymous read access to the root and any authenticated write access to
the wiki.

Subversion directories
tags/
trunk/
branches/
wiki/

Acl
[/]
* = r

[/wiki]
? = rw

But this doesn't seem to work in the way I was expecting. Authenticated
users are still denied write access. I've tried with both apache and
svnserve but neither allow this configuration.

Can anyone make a suggestion as to why this is happening and how I can
achieve what I need.

Thanks in advance.
Scott.
