Artificially increment repository revision number

Hi,
Is there a way to artificially increment the repository revision
number in subversion?

We have recently migrated from one VCS to SVN, and we'd like the
revision numbers in SVN to not overlap the revision numbers we had for
the old VCS.

I can imagine writing a small script to make the 2000 or so dummy
commits to do this, but I'm hoping for a more elegant solution.

Thanks in advance,
