Restricting access directories with wildcard

Hello all,
 
I would like to restrict the read/write access to certain directories
with a wildcard in the authz file. I am using the SVN server. The
example is as such...
 
[/branches/*/source]
@admin = rw
@users =
 
I tried doing this, but the users still get the source code, which I
don't want them to have. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
