Firstly, getting back on topic, what about NAS and/or RAID support?
Will they be used, and which platform would have the better support?

Secondly,

How you do trust and well-test a 3rd party upgrade mechanism, especially
when it knows nothing about your environment? =) MS Windows updates
would be the extreme example of why not to trust automated upgrade
tools.

Personally, I would rather have everything I need for the upgrade (and
potential rollback) stuffed into a local folder on the server so I can
check everything in and develop a repreatible deployment process on a
test server. Yes, having to deploy dependencies by hand is a pain, but
having an outside automated script Changing Things for me is pretty
stressful.
