Can a 1.4.5 client talk to a 1.4.0 server?

In a recent CollabNet webcast I heard that a Subversion 1.4.5 client
won't have any problems communicating with a 1.4.0 server. This has
been my experience so far as well, but before converting all of our
users to 1.4.5 clients I want to get confirmation. Is there any
downside to upgrading the client before the server? Any issues I need
to be aware of?
