Best practices for importing OEM source snapshots?

Hello List,

We receive weekly snapshots of OEM sources as zip archives. I do not modify this source tree, but I still would like to have the unzipped sources stored in Subversion, in a single branch.

The straightforward way to do this would be to maintain a working copy, unzip the archive over the previous release, manually delete, add, commit. This procedure is tedious and error prone.

What best practices would you recommend in this case? Is there a tool for this purpose?

Thanks,
Lodovico
