RE: Creating a directory *within* the repository's root

Hi David,

I don't believe there are any issues in creating a directory under the
repository's root path.

But it is not considered a good practise to clutter any products
structure with directories and files.

Thanks
lakshman

Subject: Creating a directory *within* the repository's root

Is there any problem with me creating a new directory under the
repository's root path? For instance, can I do this:

/path/to/repos
  README.txt
backups <-- directory that I created
  conf
  dav
  db
  format
  hooks
  locks

Will that directory ever get deleted, changed, or otherwise adversely
affect Subversion's operation?

thanks,
David
