Some other tools for getting the global revision number of a repository are:
1. Tortoise's "SubWCRev" (Windows only)

Works with the WC.
2. "svnrev"
http://www.compuphase.com/svnrev.htm
Works with the repository.
Remember that you can add created build files to your tags/branches if
necessary (for version keeping).
