Subversion users,
The Subversion community is hard at work to finish Subversion 1.5. To help the community, CollabNet has started an early adopter program that gives you access to svn 1.5 binaries and will assist the community with testing, especially of the merge tracking feature. We call it the Merge Tracking Early Adopter Program. The program is at http://merge-tracking.open.collab.net.
In the program you will find:
- Subversion pre-release binaries that include the new merge tracking feature.
- A sample Subversion repository that includes merge tracking history so you can try out and test the feature.
- A discussion forum.
- Submission of defects and enhancement requests (if we uncover bugs, we'll forward them to the Subversion developers using their normal processes).
On Monday we added a beta version of a GUI merge client that CollabNet developed. For an introduction of the GUI merge client, please read Mark Phippard's blog post: http://blogs.open.collab.net/svn/2007/09/subversion-merg.html.
I encourage you to visit http://merge-tracking.open.collab.net%a0and participate in testing Subversion 1.5 and the new GUI merge client. The more people test the software, the better it will be (and you can get ready for Subversion 1.5).
