svn update not working

Hello,

I've recently setup a repository, imported, checked out and then
modified files in the working folder. The svn update command is
always reporting that the working folders & files are at the latest
version even though I have modified, added and deleted files from the
working folder. svn diffs of modified files do show differences.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
