We're due to make the release branch on Oct. 12th.

That's not the release itself, but the release usually follows the
creation of the branch by a month or two. In the case of 1.5, that
period might be longer, because 1.5 has so many new features that it
may need more testing than past releases.

No promises, of course, but Q108 or earlier seems like a good bet to
me.
