Actually, ADS integration with Apache requires Kerberos and that
compiles only on Linux (or it did last time I checked - a few months
ago). It's been a big thorn in my side since I was forced to use a
Win2003 server as an Apache+svn server and now I have to do user
management for the subversion server separately.
Stick with the linux box and add Kerberos support to Apache then you can
integrate with ADS.
