Try the Apache version 2.0.59. I have also tried using Apache 2.2.4 but
subversion doesn't support the latest Apache version.

Subject: Problems With Apache 2.2.4 and Subversion Install, Apache Fails
To Start

I have been trying to install a Subversion server on an Apache 2.2.4
(Win32 DAV/2) server running XP Pro Service Pack 2 but when I uncomment
the following lines in the Apache http.conf file, Apache fails to start
without any useful message in the Apache error log or the event viewer
log,

LoadModule dav_svn_module modules/mod_dav_svn.so
LoadModule authz_svn_module modules/mod_authz_svn.so

I copied the module files into Apache's module directory and the
application seemed to find them. I also copied the two .dlls into the
Apache bin directory.

I suspect the problem is different versions of the Apache Runtime but it
is unclear to me which versions of either the Windows installer or the
zipped binaries on the Subversion website should be used with Apache
2.2.4.

Can anyone suggest what version of Subversion I should install or how to
do additional debugging on this problem?

Or if anyone can suggest a combination of Apache and Subversion versions
(from available installs) that work properly together. I could change
the Apache version if necessary to get Subversion running correctly. A
sample http.conf file would be great too.

Thanks,
Tom
