Issues with post-commit hook script !!

Hi,

How can i make use of post-commit hook script. In the post-commit script i have mentioned the path to commit-email.pl but one executing the post-commit script i get the error

"use of either `-h' or `--from' is mandatory when sending email using direct SMTP"

Do i need to modify the commit-email.pl script ?? If yes what values have to be updated and also every time changes are done to the repository how will it be notified ??
