Nico,
given our present situation it seems to me as if the only favour you
could do your users were to provide them with some shell script which
does the job of setting the desired folders tsvn: properties.
I was already bothered by the same question and didn't find any better,
i. e. more-close-to-the-user, solution.
One chance could be to ask Stefan on the TSVN list if it were possible
to implement auto-props on folders; but only who could answer the
question which folders they should apply to? The name pattern approach
would IMHO not be very helpful in the case of folders.
