Connecting Subversion to ViewVC

Hi

I have Subversion running on Centos 4. I believe that Subversion was
installed through the Package Manager. It is version 1.4.2.

I want to connect ViewVC, which I installed myself from
viewvc-1.0.4.tar.gz.

I believe that I need to build/install the python bindings for
Subversion in order to connect ViewVC. Please will someone explain
exactly what I need to download and do?
