svn+ssh commit fails. all other actions are fine.

Greetings,

I just upgrade my Subversion server & client machines from 1.1 to 1.4,
but am running into an issue with commits. All of my client machines
access repositories via svn+ssh and are able to without fail when
using non-commit commands (svn log, svn co, svn info, etc).

When I try to commit changes, I receive this error:

<snip>
Transmitting file data .......................svn: Commit failed
(details follow):
svn: Connection closed unexpectedly
svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
svn: '/Users/justin/Development/smart/2.0/svn-commit.2.tmp'

I have run the verify and recover command on my repositories, but
neither ran into any issues it needed to correct.

I'm not really sure what else to try to re-enable committing of code,
so your help is much appreciated.
