SVN of any type extremely slow on vista

Folks,

I am duel-booting and trying to get a dev environment set up on vista. I
installed Eclipse and subclipse. I tried to checkout from our repository at
work which is on a blazing fast connection, just browsing the repository
took me over 10 minutes. I thought it might be subclipse but the command
line and tortoise all have the same issues. I boot back into xp and
everything is blazing fast again.

Anyone else go through this? Or know even where I should start looking?
