datecheck.py discovered serveral "NOT OK" revisions - worry?

Hello,

During a data verification exercise I found that a number of our
repositories have revisions that are out of chronological order. We are
using subversion versions 1.2.3 and 1.4.2. I used this tool:
http://subversion.tigris.org/tools_contrib.html#datecheck_py

Is this a cause for alarm? I read an old posting that indicated that the
date based search algorithm would break if the revision dates were out
of order. I proved this is *not* an issue with a simple test. Are there
any other problems that can arise from this? Does anyone know why this
happens?

Thanks!
