Subversion + Apache mod_dav* + remote svn

Hi list, we have an environment where our Subversion repository is
accessible via HTTP+DAV. We configured Apache to use mod_dav* and it is
working fine.

The problem now is that we need to move the svn repository to another
server. Mounting the remote repository using NFS or SMB is not an
option. We would like to get mod_dav* accessing the remote repository
thru svn. Is there a way to supply a remote svn URL instead of SVNPath?
Something like:

SVNPath "svn://_my_server_/svn"

or we are limited to File System paths?

Thanks in advance for any help!
