Copyright and patents will protect you in different ways against different
threats. Both involve disclosure of the intellectual property, and both
involve after-the-fact action. I think Michael is looking to prevent
disclosure. Keeping a trade secret is one way to protect the assets.

But it might be good to investigate what the options are in the event of
disclosure, and talking to a competent attorney would be of benefit. Erik
