Committing files with "$" in name

From: <chris.baumgartner_at_agfa.com>

Hello,

I am running a Subversion client on Windows XP. The server is on Red Hat
Enterprise Server.

I am unable to add files that contain a "$" in their name. I get the
following error message:
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: File '/svn/repos/test/test$test.txt' already exists

I can't find any information about this problem. Any help is greatly
appreciated.

Thanks.
