USVN 0.5 version is released!

USVN development team is proud to announce you that the first USVN public
version (0.5) is released.

* What is USVN?

Userfriendly SVN is based on a web interface and allow you to configure your
subversion repositories.
This interface allow you to create new projects without an command line
client, it's means to have an privileged access on the server.
Then USVN will take care of managing the list of users which are authorized
to take your source code.
This allow you to delegate the administration of your Subversion depots.

USVN permit an easy access to a thin access restriction on Subversion
files.
For instance, in a few clicks translators can only have modification rights
on translation files.

During is installation USVN give you a "configuration bloc" witch you have
to put in your Apache configuration, then you will nevermore have to be root
to manage your Subversion depots.

* Why using USVN?

Because USVN is really easy to use and install.

Because USVN is free.

Because USVN is open source and can be multi language (French and English
version are available).

* Witch operating system's are supported ?

Right now, all UNIX based OS all web browsers excepted IE are supported.
Theses ones will come later due to incompatibility problems.
We are working on theses but you can already test USVN under Microsoft
Windows OS and see how it works but some functionality are broken.

USVN will be compatible with Microsoft Windows OS in the next release. We
will inform you in time.

* What are USVN features for this version:

- Creation and suppression of subversion deposit.
- htpasswd generation from an USVN logged user list.
- Users and projects management.
- Thin access restriction management of files on the subversion.

USVN is an Open Source project under CeCILL license.
