As far as I know Apache is always needed if you would like to
authenticate in such a special way(LDAP, Domain or the like).
If you run apache you also have the reposirtory available over http
without a lot of effort, which is helpful if you do not have proper svn
tools installed on other computers.

Subject: Authenticating SVN users with Windows domain

Hi

Is it possible to allow users to use their domain logins without having
to run Apache?

Thanks in advance
Geoff
