svn to perforce

Hi

I'm converting a svn 1.4 repository to the latest version of perforce on 2
remote and disparate servers. There's a perl script for this conversion on
Perforce's site.

The svn server is remote and not owned by us and and I have no access to it,
so they've send me a tarball of their repo instead. So I have exported the
tarball to my sandbox server which is running redhat 7.3 (valhall). So I'm
on tigris.org and see that rh7.3 does have the latest neon but it only goes
as far up as subversion-1.3.2-1.rh7x.i386.rpm and NO Perl bindings.

My question is, would it be risky to import an svn repo running under 1.4
into 1.3.2-1?
