svnmailer problems

So, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question,
and I'm sure I don't know what the relevant information to provide
is, but, since there didn't seem to be an svnmailer list, I thought
I'd ask here...

I'm attempting to set up subversion/bugzilla integration using the
instructions provided at,

    http://oss.segetech.com/bugzilla-svn-wiki.html

and everything has gone fine until I got to the svnmailer piece
(e.g., viewvc works fine). Basically, svnmailer seems to not do
anything at all, and running it directly from the command line in
debug mode doesn't seem to produce any useful output; well, it
doesn't produce any output.

So, the vitals:

Debian etch
Subversion 1.4.2
svnmailer 1.1.0-dev-r1373 (patched with patch from the above site)

There may be more vitals, but, frankly, I'm not sure what they are,
but will happily provide any information that is deemed useful.
