User not found: /viewvc

Hello Users

After I have created a new user by using the comman "htpasswd" , the viewvc
does not let me log in with that new user.
The httpd log keeps saying :

     [Thu Apr 19 15:24:35 2007] [error] [client 57.4.3.181] user english
not found: /viewvc

I checked my private user file and I found "english" in it.
Also, I have tried with TortoiseSVN, it works fine: I can log in no
problem.

Any idea how to fix it ?
