Why does GPG always say signatures bad?

Maybe everyone else already knows, but why does GnuPG always tell me
the signature is bad on this list?

What is the mailing list modifying that makes it not work? It happens
in various formats including this "Followup to subversion 1.5", and
messages just pasted clear-signed block of text.
