Is the confirmation mail specific to each newsgroup I subscribe through gmane or is it specific to just gmane?

Previously when I posted through gmane on linux.debian.user, I received a confirmation email. After answering that I am able to post to linux.debian.user. However, I have not received any confirmation email after posting to the subversion user's group.
