svn annotate (with date output)

Is it possible to produce svn annotate output which includes the date?
 This is a very handy feature in cvs annotate. If not, is there an
enhancement request on this?

As this Feb 2004 thread points out, there is a workaround with a bunch
of superfluous network access:
