I think that it is just a case of following conventions. On a *nix
system, when I want a hint on which svn commands to use, I would rather
use 'man svn' as per most of the other *nix utilities like gunzip, tar
etc. If I need anymore detail info, I would RTFM.

I think svn is probably the only *nix command that I know of that has
the help subcommand.
