Oh my... are you managing an active branch containing tens of thousands
of files then? SVN only keeps double the local files in a working copy
for fast diff and status. I would imagine that if you had enough files
to cause a serious problem only cutting them in half would not make that
much difference... certainly not enough to outweigh the delay cvs incurs
of having to contact the server for a status or diff.
