Are you issuing these commands in the folder you imported from? I believe that you first have to do a checkout to a new folder.

Subject: svn status says directory is not under source code control

  Hi all

I've just installed Subversion on a remote server and created a repository in a remote server. I also made the repository writeable to the same group that my users belong to.
I did a clean svn import of the source tree.

Next, when I tried to do an svn status, I get "?" next to all my filed. If I make a change and I issue an svn commit <filename> I get the error
"svn: '/www/htdocs/kontoer.com/selskaper/b_old.php' is not under version control"

What am I missing here? Shouldn't this be enough?
