Is the server otherwise stable? Sounds like bad ram to me... Try running memtest86 on it if you can afford the downtime...

Subject: svnadmin dump : Intermittent Checksum mismatch

Hiya,

We have a perl backup cron job which dumps (with svnadmin dump) our repo to a file once a day.

Approximately every other day the dump fails with a
svnadmin: Checksum mismatch while reading representation:

expected: c6fd093b4fceeaf203c4d34ae7750c8f

actual: 22874481ffcc4bfe127151e52f048b87

But each time a diff checksum.

Running svnamin verfiy fails 90% of the time with a Checksum mismatch error, but each time on a different revision!

10% of the time, the verify completes with no errors though.

We are running svn 1.4 on Ubuntu feisty.

Any help greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Alex.
