New svn, commit failed : MERGE request failed on ..

I have updated my svn to 1.4.2
Now i have no trouble accessing my existing / newly created repos. But when
checking out i get an error:

Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: MERGE request failed on '/svn/administratie/trunk'
Error: Valid UTF-8 data
Error: (hex: 20)
Error: followed by invalid UTF-8 sequence
Error: (hex: df 16 0a bc)

Strange thing is, it was commited properly. When i do an update, my working
dir gets updated properly with new files. So why do i get these errors?
I use tortoisesvn 1.4.1 build 7992, can it be that?
Those UTF codes change all the time and don't make sense to me. I tried it
on the existing, and new repos with either berkely or fsfs. I tried log and
no log messagess.
Really weird...
