Yes thanks for answer - I gather this functionality is not (yet) a
feature of subversion, but likely it will be in the future because of
the need to administer random developers who will use random editors
(some which will replace whitespace with the native format) and not
all be completely "anal and by the book" with installations, and we
don't want that churn checked in every time. It's all about
eliminating variables and making life easy :)
