I did a quick peek at our largest repository... 4.7GB repository size,
14.6GB working copy size (if everything is brought down locally) with
somewhere around 80,000 files and maybe 8,000 folders. I expect that to
grow at about a 25% annual rate.

It's hard to pin down the folder count unless I would whack all of the
_svn folders. The local working copy actually has about 172,000 files
and 64,000 folders and I'm doing a bit of extrapolation. (Our
repositories are only used by about half a dozen people.)
