I don't remember anyone on this thread making the statement that
this idea is silly. Furthermore, in-line with setting the log
message (also a revision property), I think this desire makes
sense.

I would be interested in hearing from the core developers whether
they agree with this notion (without commiting to implementing it).
Unfortunately, I haven't read anything of the developers in this
thread.

Maybe the discussion of this narrow request/idea should be moved
to the developers list to get the attention it deserves?
